There are a number of things we would want to look at to see why it shutdown early. However, it sounds like you are using a shutdown software or power options with the SMC1500I that shutdown the server. At 150 watts of power draw you should have about 46 of runtime. SMC1500I is rated for a maximum output of 900 Watts. I am sorry for the trouble you experienced with a shutdown occurring before you would expect it to.
